02/09/10 On The Road To Montenegro |
With the Bluebirds getting an early season rest due to the international break, a group of around 30 CCSC members will be leaving the Cardiff City Stadium in the early hours of this morning bound for Eastern Europe, as Wales' latest qualifying campaign gets under way. After a coach journey to East Midlands airport, we will be boarding a plane to Dubrovnik in Croatia, which will be our base before we make our way to Montenegro for the game on Friday evening. A match report and photos from the trip will follow when we return home on Sunday.

20/08/10 The City Of Cardiff Goes Bellamy Crazy |
Since Craig Bellamy's signing was confirmed on Tuesday lunchtime, it's not just Cardiff City fans who have been in dreamland, it seems as if the capture of the current Wales captain has awakened the entire City of Cardiff and the rest of South Wales too. It's been a surreal time for Bluebirds followers, with a media frenzy following the club at every twist and turn, whilst we have seen the green eyed monster of envy show it's face amongst some rival clubs and fans. Such has been the interest in Cardiff since Bellamy joined us from Manchester City, that the confirmation of latest recruit Lee Naylor arriving from Celtic earlier today has almost gone unoticed. This evening, images of Bellamy and other City players were projected onto the walls of Cardiff Castle, with hundreds of City fans popping by to witness the latest events in what has been a crazy, crazy week. Tomorrow, Craig Bellamy will make his debut at home to Doncaster Rovers in front of a sold out Cardiff City Stadium. Suddenly, the Bluebirds are the talk of the Championship. With the pressure now really on as the bookies install us as one of the promotion favourites, lets hope the players thrive on the attention and deliver the 3 points. What a week!
